Choosing your tool
Use light movements to loosen dust, then collect it with a clean towel or vacuum. Work carefully around switches and screens and follow their care instructions. Do not force bristles into openings where dust could be pushed farther inside.
Preparing the surface
Inspect the area before choosing your cleaning method. Remove loose grit and debris where practical so the brush does not drag it across the finish. Check the surface manufacturer’s care instructions, especially around coatings, trim and delicate materials. Test a small inconspicuous area and inspect the result before continuing.
Working with control
Use steady, controlled movements and only the pressure needed for the task. Inspect the bristles frequently and stop if dirt builds up or the brush begins to mark the surface. Work in manageable sections so you can check the result as you go. Do not use extra force to compensate for an unsuitable brush or cleaner.
If a cleaner is appropriate for the job, follow its instructions for application, dilution, contact time and removal. Keep the work area organized and avoid transferring residue from one surface to another. A tool used on a heavily soiled area should be cleaned before it is used elsewhere.
Care and storage
After the job, remove remaining dirt and product residue using a cleaning method compatible with the brush. Inspect the bristles and handle for damage before storing it. Let a wet brush dry in a suitable location and keep it away from contamination. Store separate brushes for different tasks so you can identify the correct tool quickly. Replace a damaged or contaminated brush when its condition no longer suits the work.
